What We Do
Hirshson Architecture + Design provides a holistic approach to architecture and interior design for high-end residential and bespoke commercial spaces. The team forges long-standing relationships with engineers, consultants, vendors, builders, municipal building departments, and the brokerage community. We love to build. This positions the firm to evaluate prospective projects and design solutions with an understanding of both timeline and cost.
Each project benefits from our extensive experience in all phases of the design and the construction administration life cycle. The first third of our work focuses on the analysis of the scope of work, three design solutions, refining a singular approach, and working with prospective builders to ascertain cost. The second third focuses on the development of drawings and finish schedules that will become the permit documents, contracts with the selected builder, and memorialize budget. The final third of our work is allocated to the administration of the construction and installation of selected finishes. Hirshson Architecture + Design honors the tradition of architect-led construction. From denoting the centerline on a drawing to standing in the completed space, we work closely with each client to deliver architecture and interior design reflective of contemporary living that improves with age.
Who We Are
Scott Hirshson, AIA, established the Hirshson Design Group in 2010 in New York City. In 2015, the firm was rebranded as Hirshson Architecture + Design representing a vertically integrated team of architects and interior designers working in parallel. Since 2021, Hirshson A+D has occupied the first floor of a Victorian residence in the heart of Greenwich, Connecticut’s design community. Studios dedicated to architecture and interior design share a carefully curated materials library fostering the exchange of ideas between all designers. The team structure ensures consistent project delivery spanning the shore communities of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey, into New York City, and across Fairfield and Westchester Counties. Scott Hirshson oversees the design of each architectural commission. Dorynne Brock, the Director of Interior Design, works in parallel with the senior architectural staff to manage the design documents and construction administration.
Scott Hirshson, Principal
Scott Hirshson, AIA founded Hirshson Architecture + Design in 2010. Prior to establishing the practice, he worked in the Manhattan offices of Campion Platt and Robert A.M. Stern. Scott has extensive experience in high-end residential architecture with a number of completed projects in New York City, the Hamptons, and Westchester County, New York. His work blends classical architectural layouts with modern details and materials. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University, a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Certificate in Real Estate Design & Development from the Wharton School of Business. A member of both the AIA and NCARB, Scott is a registered architect in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Dorynne Brock, Design Director, Senior Interior Designer
Dorynne Brock comes from a diverse background in the Architectural field, including over 10 years as a Lead Interior Designer for renown High-End Residential Design and Architectural Firms in New York City. As Design Director, Dorynne works with clients on both architectural and interior design projects tailoring the firm’s aesthetic to the client’s lifestyle. Dorynne graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Architecture & Design, and has been an integral part of the team since 2019.
Kristjan Boday, Senior Architectural Designer
Kristjan focuses on architectural design and construction management at Hirshson Architecture + Design. With his experience and familiarity with multiple design software, Kristjan demonstrates the ability to forecast and address the unique challenges each high-end residential project possesses. He moves between programs developing presentation and construction drawings representing the firm’s attention to all architectural details. Kristjan holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Roger Williams University, and he joined Hirshson Architecture + Design in 2019.
Nico Agosto, Junior Architectural Designer
Nico excels at working in multiple visualization platforms taking background drawings into complete renderings. His work extends from in office project management to on-site construction administration across all project types. Nico holds a Bachelor of Architecture from NYIT. He joined Hirshson Architecture + Design in 2022.
Allison Antosh, Interior Designer, Project Manager
Allison brings nearly a decade of industry experience to her role as Interior Designer and Project Manager at Hirshson Architecture + Design. Her strong organizational skills and attention to detail enables her to excel in managing complex projects and providing vital design support. Her commitment to excellence and her ability to harmonize functional design with aesthetic vision make her an invaluable addition to our team. Allison holds a Master of Science in Management from Fairfield University, a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Bridgeport, and she joined the firm in 2024.
